You Can Study Engineering With Your Grade Nine Certificate At False Bay TVET College



The schooling landscape is evolving, and False Bay TVET College is at the forefront, recognizing that the traditional school model is not the only helpful means of studying. Their NCV programmes are created for students who would like to commence their journey toward a satisfying job early on.

CareersPortal.co.za had a chat with the Head of Division for Engineering Studies at False Bay College, about their range of courses.

False Bay's Engineering NCV programmes are available at two campuses: Westlake Campus and Khayelitsha Campus. These Engineering programmes are for a 3-year length.

NCV Engineering Course Entry Prerequisites

These courses start at NCV level two along with the minimal need would then be Grade 9 certificate with a pass in Arithmetic.

When the student finishes NCVLevel two, they'd then have attained a grade 10 certificate. NCV Level three would be grade 11 and NCV Level four is grade 12.

NCV Level 4 is at the exit level, becoming comparable to a National Senior Certificate (NSC).

Grade 9 is on NQF level one. Our NCV programmes start NCV degree read more two which is equivalent to an NQF level 2.

On which kind of students are suited to these programmes, they say that the world is acknowledging that conventional education is not always the only real method of turning into an artisan or starting to be qualified so if a student knows from an early age what their pursuits are, the NCV programme is actually perfectly suited to that student.
